Originally by: Ishina Fel BTW, I largely agree with the (updated) 15 finalists that were chosen. Nearly all of them would make good ships for the game. There are only three I don't like, and one of those is entirely personal bias.
Sure, nearly all of them would make somewhat acceptable ships. But the things is, there were so many others that would fit so much better and were just plain better. Here's 40 entries that they could have chosen semi-finalists from and nobody would have been upset.

Looks like I get to go to Sacramento this year after all...good to see the family.
Elric... Are you literally insane? Or just a massive drama queen? You want to take dA to court over a contest that you wouldn't have won in the first place? Really?
I'll admit, I'm not happy about the contest either. But get some perspective on this.

To paraphrase the Assembly Hall thread on the contest... This is why we can't have nice things.

Originally by: Elric Hexx So I offer to help.. drop the lawsuit idea, or complaining... If they are willing to listen. I want to assist in clearing this up, I think thats fair..
Elric, you just threatened to sue these people over an art contest... Why in gods name would they want anything to do with you? You really need to stop and take a look at your actions in this situation.
On a more related note, it's nice that Moonbeam posted another blog. Though the explanations left me feeling a bit underwhelmed and didn't really answer anything. Was pretty much all PR-speak for "this is the way it is, deal with it". Oh well. More interested in what CCP has to say about it anyway.

LOL.. Yuppies? Did you really use that term? They are about as common in the US as a real mohawk.
Herzog, you have a very skewed perspective of America. I'm guessing you don't actually live here. Or if you do, you don't leave the house much.
